FATCA and PrivatBank Cyprus

The Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) is the United States federal law which was adopted on March 18th, 2010 and entered into force on July 1st, 2014. FATCA requires United States persons, including individuals who live outside the United States, to report their financial accounts held outside of the United States, and requires foreign financial institutions to report to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) about their U.S. clients. PrivatBank acknowledges the importance of FATCA and complies with its requirements.

PrivatBank has been registered on the US IRS website with the Registered Deemed-Compliant Financial Institution status (including a Reporting Financial Institution under a Model 1 IGA) and received a Global Intermediary Identification Number (GIIN) - JUG662.99999.BR.196.

Ukraine is one of the states which have agreed on an intergovernmental agreement, and regarded as a participating state according to the model number 1 by the United States of America.
