PrivatBank improves financial literacy!

PrivatBank provides a wide scope of bank services offering its customers innovative solutions of their financial problems. Some of these services and products can be new to the customers, or information available to them is not sufficient to make good decisions and reasoned choice of the right services and products. PrivatBank employees not only provide the consultations on free phone numbers and in the branches, but also support the whole-bank project of the Financial and Capital Market Commission named.

PrivatBank fights fraud

Unfortunately, the cases of fraud related to using other people's personal data (so-called "forgery of identity") occur permanently. However, there are ways to protect one's personal information against fraud - just observe simple precautions.

  • Be fastidious when you provide your personal information via phone, in person or via Internet! Do not disclose information until you are perfectly sure about the party you are dealing with.
  • Inform immediately about the lost or stolen cheques, credit or debit cards.
  • Keep the cancelled cheques, new cheques and statement of accounts in a safe place.
  • Inform PrivatBank about suspicious phone calls as if to "check statements of account" or "award a prize". The bank NEVER asks for confidential information via phone or e-mail.
  • Check the reports on your credit transactions at least once a year. Ensure that all information in them is true and correct.
  • Remember your PIN code. Never write it down or keep it together with the payment card.
  • Destroy any unnecessary credit offers and similar documents containing your personal data.
  • Watch your mail security. Do not send invoices and other secret information from unreliable mailboxes. Regularly check your mail, because swindlers can use your personal data from your mail.
  • If you did not receive your monthly invoices during the usual period, call the corresponding company to find out the reason.
  • Thoroughly check your monthly account statements. If any item looks suspicious, please, inform the bank about it.
  • Do not take your passport or birth certificate with you, unless you have to.
  • If you are a client of PrivatBank, and you think that you became a fraud victim, please, inform the Bank immediately on phones

No other bank in Latvia has so many environment protection programs! All the document circulation at the bank is electronic, so we practically do not use paper. Every year, PrivatBank holds a voluntary litter pick where everybody can participate.
